On Monday night, Worcester singer-songwriter Ricky Duran returned to NBC’s The Voice for the competition show’s Top 13 live performances.
This week, each performance was dedicated to a certain special person in each competitor’s life.
Duran performed “You are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne and dedicated his performance to his girlfriend, Alyssa Tosti.
Duran said he dedicated the song to Tosti because “…Alyssa’s been there for me. She’s supported me.”
An emotional Duran shared the story of Tosti suffering a stroke the night before his blind audition on The Voice. Tosti made a full recovery and she was in the audience for Duran’s performance on Monday night.

Duran was the second performer on the night and the first from country star Blake Shelton’s team to take the stage.
Again, Duran didn’t disappoint the judges.
“Once again, it was another outstanding performance,” said singer-songwriter and competition coach, John Legend. “Your voice sounded amazing. It was a great song choice and it was very impressive.”
“Everywhere I go…everybody loves Ricky,” Shelton said. “It’s because of performances like that. You always deliver a solid performance and people relate to you. That’s why you’re going to be here for a long time.”
