Sam James’ Single ‘Shinedown’ Climbing Country Music Charts

WORCESTER – As of 9:30 AM on Wednesday morning, Sam James’ new single “Shinedown” had catapulted into the Top 50 on iTunes Country music chart.

In less than 24 hours of its release, “Shinedown” cracked the top 50 and currently sits at #42 on the iTunes country songs chart.

As ThisWeekinWorcester.com reported, James, of Worcester, premiered “Shinedown” on the songwriting competition series Songland last Tuesday night, May 28, on NBC.

Songland features songwriters pitching their original songs to superstar recording artists and a panel of chart-topping music producers in hopes of creating megahits for the recording artists.

James performed his original song “Shinedown” in front of four Songland singer-songwriter judges: John Legend, Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean and Shane McAnally.
