WORCESTER – With an extensive menu of hot and iced coffees, lattes, cappuccino, macchiatos and espresso, the STOP Cafe in Worcester has everything you need to get you going.
The STOP Cafe opened last month at 377 Park Ave in Worcester at the former home of neighborhood bars, Doherty’s Pub and Nuf Ced,and is run by two brothers — Hasan Dalipi and Valon Dalipi.
The Dalipi brothers are originally from Kosovo and have been in Worcester for the past five years — saving money to open their very own coffee shop.
“Basically we had this idea for a shop. We worked hard and saved enough money with this in mind. This is what we used to do back home. We learned how to create this art with the steamed milk in Kosovo,” Valon Dalipi told ThisWeekinWorcester.com of the artwork and designs he and his brother make on cups on top of lattes and cappuccinos.

According to Valon Dalipi, who serves as STOP’s general manager, the small shop serves a lot of cappuccinos and macchiatos.
“Really anything that comes out of the espresso machine is our specialty,” Dalipi said.
According to Dalipi, business is thriving thanks in large part to the colleges in the Worcester area. College students get 10% off everything they order if they show their school ID.
“Business has been good. It’s really catching on. There are a lot of students from Clark. It’s a great hang out spot for them. Great place for to do their homework and such,” Dalipi said.

Hot coffee prices range from $2.09 for a small to $3.09 for a large. Lattes and cappucinos are $2.79 (small) to $3.79 (large). Iced coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos are only a few cents more.
STOP also offers a long list of pastries, salads, breakfast sandwiches, and smoothies, as well as six flavors of tea, fresh juice and lemonade.
The shop is open seven days a week from 6 AM to midnight.
