WORCESTER – Roads across the city will be closed on Sunday, June 30 for the filming of a television series.
The series — being filmed by Paramount Television for Apple TV Plus — is called “Defending Jacob” and stars
Paramount Television also spent some time in Worcester filming the series in early April on Grafton Hill.
Due to Sunday’s filming, parking restrictions and intermittent traffic closures will take place at the following locations:
Sunday, June 30, 10 AM to 7 PM
No street parking:
Intervale Road and Midland Street to Elmwood Street (both sides) Intervale Road between Midland Street and Pleasant Street (both sides) Pleasant Street between St. Elmo Street and Elmwood Street (both sides) Hadwen Lane between Pleasant Street and Ivanhoe Road
Intermittent Traffic Closures:
Pleasant Street between St. Elmo Street and Elmwood Street
Sunday, June 30, 12 PM to 9 PM
No street parking:
Vassar Street (both sides) between Fenwick Street to Cornell Street Lull Street (both sides) Richmond Avenue between Fenwick Street and Amherst Street Cornell Street (both sides)
Intermittent Traffic Closures:
Vassar Street between Amherst Street and Cornell Street
The City of Worcester urges motorists to seek alternate routes during the specified dates and times and apologizes for any inconvenience.
Local resident traffic will be allowed to enter and exit with the help of the Worcester Police Department. Accommodations will be made for residents with disabilities in need of access to their homes for parking and drop off/pick up during the schedule filming time.
